Atlanta Mission: 3/100
Jon Vaughan
In December of 2017, we were truly blessed to be able to serve the courageous team at the Atlanta Mission, a support system for individuals working to overcome homelessness.
Atlanta Mission’s goal is to end homelessness in our community by helping those who are actively homeless or in danger of becoming so. This multi-facility organization began working towards this goal in 1938 as a small soup kitchen. They provide shelter, rehabilitation services, vocational training and transitional housing to more than 1,000 people every day.
Our Brand Vaughan Lumber team collected gifts for the families of Atlanta Mission during the holiday season; we wanted to provide presents for parents to give to their children on Christmas Day. The team also served lunch for three days, which gave us the opportunity to get to know the passionate men and women working hard at Atlanta Mission, as well as the at-risk individuals in our community. We’re proud that our team was willing to step up and give their time, despite hectic holiday schedules, and we were so grateful to have this opportunity.
