Brand Vaughan Lumber Recognized As Top Workplace in Atlanta for Fourth Consecutive Year

It might surprise you to learn that Brand Vaughan Lumber isn’t just a lumber dealer; Brand Vaughan is also a family and community of committed team members.
We’re proud of our family’s work over the last several years. Despite a pandemic and shifts in the economy, the entire team has performed exceedingly well — and that performance has been recognized, once again.
Brand Vaughan Lumber was recently recognized with the Top 2022 Workplace award for the fourth year in a row, and after recently celebrating our 75th year in business, we couldn’t be prouder of this accomplishment.
The Top Workplaces Award program recognizes “companies that make the world a better place to work together by prioritizing a people-centered culture and giving employees a voice.” It’s announced by region, and for the last four years, Brand Vaughan has been recognized by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which publishes the award.
As an additional achievement and a nationally recognized award, we were also a recipient of the Top Workplaces USA 2022 with the Purpose and Values Award distinction.
The Top Workplaces Award is based on feedback from employees, which is gathered through an employee engagement survey. “Top Workplaces celebrates the companies that are getting it right,” says Bob Helbig, media partnership director for research partner Energage. We were elated to learn that we’d been selected again for the award this year.
Like many other businesses in the last several years, our team has been met with busy times and challenges in the industry.
“Some [businesses] have decided to put themselves to the test with Top Workplaces for the first time to show how well they are navigating those challenges. And others have been adapting for a long time,” explains Helbig. “What they have in common is a culture of seeking feedback from employees, listening to that feedback, and taking action. We know culture drives performance.”
Brand Vaughan has always been committed to performance — whether that’s through customer service, the products we offer or support for our team members who work hard to keep everything running smoothly. While we’ve all been doing our best to deliver extra mile service to all of our customers, what’s impressive is that our team has maintained this commitment for 75 years.
Brand Vaughan has locations around the metroplex, and the teams were excited to celebrate 75 years together as a business. “We celebrated this incredible milestone at our Tucker location,” Jon explains. “It was humbling seeing a lot of people I hadn’t seen in a long time through COVID.”
